In a press release by Pike County Sheriff Sheriff David E. Greenwood today, detailing that on November 26th, 2019, the Pike County Sheriff’s Department was notified of a sexual assault which occurred at a residence in the 400 block of Mason Street, Barry, Pike County, Illinois.
A criminal investigation was conducted which subsequently led to the arrest of Sidney R. Barrett, age 64, of Barry, Illinois.
Sidney was taken into custody by the Pike County Sheriff’s Department in Quincy, Illinois on December 17th, 2019.
Sidney is accused of committing an act of sexual penetration with a family member under the age of eighteen (18) years old.
Sidney was arrested and lodged in the Pike County Jail on charges of criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Sidney’s bond is currently set at $250,000.
