The Cass County Health Department has announced a new drive-up outpatient respiratory screening clinic opening today in Beardstown. The Taylor Clinic located at 100 West 15th Street in Beardstown will be open from 8AM-5PM Monday through Saturday for anyone with a respiratory problem that could be COVID-19.
People coming to the respiratory clinic should call ahead to schedule an appointment at 217-322-5218. The clinic’s services will be open to anyone regardless of their ability to pay and on-site translation services will be available. The clinic is a joint effort between Memorial Health Systems, Sarah Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville, and CCHD.
Healthcare providers will be stationed outside to screen patients and determine the appropriate level of care. The clinic will provide on-site COVID-19 testing for those meeting standards set by the Illinois Department of Public Health and the CDC.
If a patient arrives and they have not made an appointment, they will be directed to a parking space with directions to set up an appointment with the clinic’s hotline to register. The respiratory care screening clinic may also provide in-clinic assessments and additional testing after a telephone visit with a care provider.
