A bond hearing for the Jacksonville man behind bars on murder charges from September has been postponed.

According to a docket entry by Assistant Judge Jeffery Tobin on Tuesday, a preliminary hearing and motion to reduce bail for 61-year-old Robert Gill was reset for October 6th at 2:30 p.m.

The original court date was scheduled for this morning in Morgan County Court.

Gill is accused of murdering his former son-in-law Andrew Maul in the Jacksonville Police Department on September 11th.

Gill made his first court appearance on September 16th. No plea was entered for the three counts of first degree murder charges, which are Class M felonies that carry sentences of 20-60 years in prison.

Gill is being held at the Morgan County Jail on a 3-million-dollar bond.
