Pleasant Plains Boil Order LIFTED
The Village of Pleasant Plains has LIFTED a system-wide boil order for all customers served by the Pleasant Plains water department.
Boil order for part of Exeter-Merritt Water Co op
The Exeter-Merritt Water Cooperative has a boil order in effect until further notice for only homes on VanGundy Rd., Cylinder Head Rd., and Harts Gravel Rd. due to a water main break. Please do not drink or cook with the water without boiling it first. Residents should flush their lines in their homes during and after the boil order and should remove/clean faucet aerator screens. The Exeter-Merritt Water Cooperative has all PVC water mains and plastic service line to each meter. If the customer has any iron pipes or fittings in their homes, they should take extra precautions and flush all the lines within their home to avoid any possible contamination of lead. Delay of return to classes for Jacksonville High School students.
Due to damages caused by burst pipe, JHS students are not returning to school Wednesday, Jan. 4th. JHS Students should return to school this Friday, Jan. 6th.
All other district 117 schools will be back in session on Wednesday as scheduled.
Boil Order Lifted for Jacksonville
The Boil Order issued on Nov. 24th for parts of Jacksonville’s west side has been lifted.
Boil Order Lifted for Exeter-Merritt Water Coop Customers
Exeter-Merritt Water Cooperative boil order in effect for homes on Bangert Rd south of Bluffs heading west to Rt 100 and homes on Rt 100 South of Bluffs has been lifted.
Power Outage in portions of Greenfield and Rockbridge.
Portions of Greenfield and Rockbridge are currently without power due to a combine striking some power lines. IREA has not given an estimate of when power will be restored.

Morgan Co. Clerk’s Office Open for Early Voting
Residents of Morgan County can cast their ballot ahead of Tuesday’s General Election on Saturday from 9AM-Noon and Monday, from 8:30AM-5PM in the clerk’s office on the first floor of the Morgan County Courthouse, 300 West State St. in Jacksonville. for more information call the office at 217/243-8581
Trick or Treat Hours
Trick or Treat times in the City of Jacksonville is from dusk until 9 PM on Sunday, Oct. 30 and Monday, Oct. 31.
South Jacksonville Halloween hours are Sunday, Oct. 30 and Monday, Oct. 31 from 6-9 PM.
City of White Hall says home owners wanting to participate in Trick or Treating on Sunday and Monday should turn porch lights on. Trick or Treaters should not go to homes without porches lit.
