An IDOT worker had a near miss with a vehicle near Rockbridge just over a week ago.
The Illinois State Police report that on Friday October 20th just after 11AM on Illinois 267 near North Street in Rockbridge, troopers responded to a single-vehicle collision with a construction flagger.
According to the report, the unidentified vehicle swerved into a construction zone to avoid hitting a vehicle that had stopped in front of them. The flagger jumped into an adjacent ditch to avoid being hit.
Minor injuries were reported. No further information on the incident is available.
