West central Illinois farmers are reminded that Monday, August 1st is the deadline to nominate eligible candidates to serve on local Farm Service Agency county committees.
According to a press release, FSA county committees assist local farmers in their decisions regarding commodity price loans, conservation programs and disaster programs. Committees also work closely with county executive directors.
Individuals must participate or cooperate in an FSA-administered program, be eligible to vote in a county committee election and live in the local administrative area to be eligible.
