A Jacksonville rail road crossing is back open for traffic today.
The crossing at East State Street had been closed to motor and pedestrian traffic since October 1st for repairs and updates. Burlington Northern Rail Officials notified the Jacksonville Police ahead of the closure.
The crossing was scheduled to be closed through the end of day tomorrow, however as of press time, the crossing is now back open to traffic.
