Flash flooding struck the region late this afternoon. Illinois Route 104 at Rees Station was closed as water poured over the roadway and a few cars were stranded. Morgan County EMS and Sheriff’s Deputies were able to get to the driver and passengers.
Rural Roodhouse had similar problems with flooding over roadways on the Roodhouse Blacktop near Mark’s Creek.
Motorists are reminded to turn around, don’t drown.
More thunderstorms and rainfall are expected throughout the evening into tomorrow.
