A West Central Illinois bridge has been closed because of flooding.
According to the “Quincy Herald-Whig”, the Illinois Department of Transportation has closed the bridge carrying Routes 100 and 106 from Scott County into Pike County.
The Illinois River at Valley City, just north of Florence, is at 22.3 feet as of this morning, according to the National Weather Service. That’s about eight feet above flood stage. Flood warnings remain in effect for the entire length of the river.
