Former Jacksonville Woman Arrested in Springfield For Alleged Deceptive Practices, Organized Crime Activity

A woman with ties to Jacksonville has been arrested on multiple charges in Sangamon County for alleged gang related activities.

30-year old Ashley N. Meyers of Middletown and formerly of Jacksonville was arrested by Springfield Police on Tuesday afternoon in the 3300 block of Veterans Parkway.

Meyers has been cited for deceptive practice, possession of methamphetamine between 15-100 grams, four counts of forgery, aggravated identity theft to further the act of an organized gang, and burglary to a building.

Meyers still has outstanding warrants in Morgan County for possession of methamphetamine less than 5 grams, retail theft, driving on a revoked license, and aggravated fleeing of police from incidents from last Fall.

Meyers is being held in the Sangamon County Jail awaiting a pretrial conference on May 30th.
