The Routt/Our Saviour DREAMS drawing couldn’t have worked out any better for Carey and Jill Gaige.
Less than a month after the tragic passing of their 5-year old daughter Caylee, the couple from Murrayville, along with their son Carson, are the winners of $100,000.
The third place prize of $10,000 went to Lewis and Pat Epley of Nokomis. As for the 2016 Chevrolet Camero SS, second prize went to Linda Tapen of Carrollton.
Our Mark Whalen had a chance to catch up with DREAMS chairperson Courtney Bonjean, who shared her thoughts about this year’s drawing.
“It’s an exciting time, this weekend is always one I look forward to. Just the excitement in the crowd, it’s a wonderful experience. We had some from Texas and Florida today which is always so exciting. I think folks think that this is very centralized here to Morgan County and even just the surrounding counties, but we have support all across the United States. We rely on the support both in the community and outside the community,” says Bonjean.
