Godfrey Park will not open this week. Village of South Jacksonville Public Works Superintendent John Green says that mechanical failure of a part will not allow the splash pad to open on time this week. He said that over-night delivery of parts from the water toy’s maker in Canada is cost prohibitive to the village.
Green says that he hopes to have the part in and the water toy turned on some time next week.
