A Jacksonville college is dedicating a new Looking for Lincoln exhibit in November.

Illinois College is inviting the community to the November 3rd dedication at Whipple Hall at 10 a.m.

The exhibit, “Lincoln Home NHS Created,’ tell the story of the creation of the Lincoln Home National Historic Site and the key role former Congressman Paul Findley, a 1943 IC graduate, played in establishing the national park.

Congressman Findley represented Illinois’ 20th District, the same area Lincoln represented from 1847-1849.

The Looking for Lincoln Historical Center is made up of a group of Illinois communities and sites that share the legacy of Abraham Lincoln. The groups tell the stories about Lincoln that are unique to each site and community.
