Musicians from across Illinois will flock to Jacksonville on Saturday to compete in the Jacksonville Symphony Society’s Talent Among Us competition.
According to a press release, the 13th annual competition will showcase a diversity of ages, voices and musical pursuits.
First and second place awards will be given to three age categories: Junior Youth (10-13 years), Senior Youth (14-17 years) and Adult (18 years and older).
The overall champion will walk away with as much as $900 and the chance to perform at the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra concert in May.
The event starts at 7 p.m. at Rammelkamp Chapel on the Illinois College campus.
