The deadline to submit an application for the Jacksonville Promise Scholarship program is less than a week away.
The non-profit organization’s scholarship, which was formed to assist local students planning to attend local colleges, is open to students attending Routt Catholic High School, Westfair Christian Academy, Illinois School for the Deaf, Lafayette Center, Garrison School and Jacksonville High School.
Students are asked to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid to allow the Jacksonville Promise to determine the financial status of the student.
Students eligible for just a partial Pell Grant will be eligible for the Promise Scholarship.
Applications are due April 15th and winners will be notified before July 1st.
