Jacksonville Memorial Hospital’s drive-thru lab reopened Monday on the northwest side of the hospital’s campus.
Administrative Director of Lab Services for JMH Misty Farris says patients and JMH employees alike are excited to have the service reopen: “We’re super excited about it. I actually talked to a couple of patients on Monday who shared with me how excited they are that it is back open and they are thankful for the services. I was super glad to hear that. We’re open Monday through Friday 8AM-4PM, with the exception of the holidays.”
Farris gives a rundown of the services that will be offered at the drive-thru: “We require a physician’s order. You can come in for blood draws. We do urine collections. We do swabs for flu, strep, RSV, Covid, and things like that.”
Farris says she’s thankful for the community welcoming the drive-thru lab back after a long hiatus: “I just want to thank our community for their patience during our temporary closure. We are so grateful. The community support has been phenomenal. I would encourage anyone in the community that needs lab services to give it a try. It’s a great service, and it’s very convenient. We appreciate our community so much.”
For faster service in the drive-thru, Farris says to call 217-479-2999 when you arrive. JMH reminds all drive-thru patients to bring along your health insurance information with you when you are utilizing the drive-thru facility’s services.
