The principal of Lincoln Elementary is stepping down at the conclusion of the 2015-2016 school year.
District 117 board members accepted Paul Monrad’s future resignation during Wednesday’s special meeting.
Superintendent Steve Ptacek says Monrad was scheduled to assume one of the assistant principal roles at Turner Junior High next year.
Ptacek says District 117 is already in the process of hiring a new principal for Lincoln Elementary and searching for someone to take the position at Turner Junior High.
Ptacek had no comment as to why Monrad was leaving the district.
