Lincoln Land Community College’s Foundation is trying to help students get scholarships easier. The Foundation will sponsor virtual events beginning today to assist students applying for college scholarships. Parents, guardians, and family members are also welcome to attend.
The ZOOM meetings will provide a general overview of applying for scholarships, how to select and ask your scholarship references for a recommendation, as well guidance on writing the personal essay for scholarship applications. The information is relevant to any student applying for any scholarships at any school.
The Scholarships 101 ZOOM meetings will be held today at 5PM, Wednesday at 5PM, and again November 17th & 19th at 5PM. Registration for the meeting is required. Follow this link to register. Information on how to join the ZOOM meeting will be sent following registration. The application period for LLCC Foundation scholarships for the upcoming academic year opens December 1st and continues through March 1st. Last year, the LLCC Foundation awarded over 230 scholarships totaling more than $366,000.
