The American Meteor Society has received nearly 400 reports of a green fireball seen in the early morning hours yesterday. The majority of the sightings were reported from Northern Illinois and Wisconsin but witnesses from Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, New York, Kentucky, Minnesota and Ontario (Canada) also reported the event.
According to the society The meteor traveled south-west to the north-east, ending its journey on Lake Michigan.
