A group of students from a Minnesota college recently spent time in Jacksonville as part of a spring break volunteer trip.
According to the student newspaper for Macalester College, the six students went through five cities in the U.S., all called Jacksonville. In addition to Illinois, they went to Mississippi, Tennessee, Missouri, Louisiana and Pensacola, Florida.
According to the newspaper, the group went to the Salvation Army thrift store in our Jacksonville, and helped sort donated clothing.
