Area residents are invited to attend a candidate forum tonight hosted by the Morgan County League of Women Voters.
With the primary election right around the corner, various political candidates will speak at tonight’s forum.
Local voters will hear from Morgan County Sheriff candidates Mike Carmody and Chris “CJ” Johnson, State Representative C.D. Davidsmeyer of Illinois’ 100th House District, and 18th Congressional District candidates Junius Rodrigues, Brian Deters, Darrel Miller and Donald Rients.
Tonight’s forum takes place at the Jacksonville Municipal Building, located at 300 West Douglas Street, starting at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
