More details are being released on the motorcycle-vehicle crash from Friday.

According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department, 22-year-old Stephanie Watkins of Mechanicsburg was driving east on Route 36 at around 11:10 a.m.

Reports claim Watkins was behind a large farm implement when she attempted to make a left turn at the Morgan-Sangamon County border.

Forty-seven-year-old Wayne Stice of Winchester was traveling west on Route 36 at that time. Reports show Stice’s Harley Davidson was clipped by the Pontiac being driven by Watkins, causing Stice to be shot into the air upon collision.

Stice was transported by Lifeline’s Air Evac helicopter to St. John’s hospital after suffering “serious injuries.”

We attempted to contact St. John’s for confirmation on Stice’s status, but have yet to receive an answer.

Watkins was issued a citation for failure to yield while turning left.

Correction: We have corrected the direction the motorcycle was traveling along Old Route 36.
