New Information on Barry Gas Station Robbery Suspect

The Pike County Sheriff’s Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying a subject that is wanted for questioning related to an armed robbery which occurred in Barry, Illinois.

During the early morning hours of October 16th, 2019, a masked male subject entered Jiffi Stop in Barry, Pike County, Illinois, displayed a handgun, demanded cash, cigarettes, and lottery tickets.

The surveillance video from Barry Jiffi Stop shows a subject dressed in black wearing a black mask and gloves. Upon investigation, it was discovered the suspect parked his vehicle across the street from Jiffi Stop in a car wash bay, which unbeknownst to the suspect, contain surveillance cameras in the bay.

Sheriff’s Deputies were able to obtain photographs from the surveillance video which shows the suspect’s face and vehicle. The vehicle has been identified as a 2008, 2009, or 2010 silver Honda Accord. The vehicle has a sunroof, all windows are tinted and does not have a front license plate. The vehicle also appears to have extensive hail damage to the trunk area.

Sheriff’s Deputies contacted the Illinois State Lottery and discovered the suspect had scanned the stolen lottery tickets in Pittsfield, Brussels, Grafton, and Caseyville.
