Passavant Area Hospital is welcoming its next president and CEO.
Vice President of Facilities Management at Memorial Health System Harry Schmidt was approved by the Passavant Board of Directors to replace Doug Rahn, who’s served as the hospital’s CEO since April 2014.
Schmidt has been with Memorial Medical Center since 2007 and has held his current position for eight years.
At Memorial Medical Center, Schmidt led a cross-functional, multidisciplinary team of leaders to develop and execute MMC’s historic Advancing Care by Design expansion projects and implementing more than $11 million in cost-saving initiatives.
Schmidt holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the United States Naval Academy and a master’s in business administration from Washington University.
Schmidt takes over for Rahn on January 1st.
