The State Journal Registered continued their Capitol Region Sports Awards yesterday honoring two Routt golfers and another from Auburn.
Routt Senior Makenna Baptist was selected for her 5th place finish in the Class 1A Quincy Notre Dame Regional at Westview Golf Course and scored a 95 to get 25th place in the Rochester Sectional.
Junior Addie Dobson won the Class 1A Quincy Notre Dame Regional at Westview Golf Course, and finished in 5th place in the Rochester Sectional.
In other honorees in the area, Auburn senior Ellie Knight was runner-up at the Class 1A Taylorville Regional, and also helped the Lady Trojans to a second place team finish. Knight finished in 9th place individually at the Rochester Sectional, while helping her team tie for a 4th place finish.
The State Journal-Register will host the Capital Region High School Sports Awards at the end of this school year on July 8th, with Players of the Year announced during the award show.
