Proceeds from a trivia night at the end of the month will go to the family of a fallen South Jacksonville police officer.

Richard and Michelle Larkin, along wiith Jill Van Giesen host numerous trivia nights throughout the year, each benefiting organizations in the community.

Richard tells WLDS-WEAI News that Scot Fitzgerald had a tremendous impact on many lives in Jacksonville and South Jacksonville. Richard says holding a trivia night on Saturday to raise money for his family is “an honor.”

Currently, six to seven teams have signed up but Richard is hoping for ten to fifteen. Registration starts at 6 p.m. and trivia follows at 7 p.m.

The entry fee is $10 per person, with a ten person maximum per team. The action takes place at Pathway Plaza, 1905 West Morton in Jacksonville.

Fitzgerald passed away while responding to a medical call in Morgan County in March.
