Jacksonville Police are investigating after a woman said two unknown men broke into her residence Saturday night.

According to a press release, police arrived at a house in the 2-hundred block of West Independence at around 10:45 Saturday night.

Officers were flagged down by a 57-year-old woman who said the men came in, brandished a weapon and demanded items. One of them reportedly struck a 52-year-old man living at the home with an unknown object, causing non-life-threatening injuries.

One of the men removed an undetermined amount of cash from the male victim, and the men fled the area, according to a press release.

No arrests have been made. Anyone with more information should call the Jacksonville Police Department.

Jacksonville Police have made one arrest in connection to another home invasion incident Friday morning.

Twenty-seven-year-old Mondre White of the 5-hundred block of Brooklyn was arrested Sunday morning and charged with home invasion, robbery and aggravated battery.

Police say someone entered a house in the 6-hundred block of Myrtle Friday morning demanding money, and then used a blunt object to strike the victim before taking a cell phone and leaving. Police say the suspect was known to the victim, who was transported to the hospital before being treated and released.

Police say this case is being treated as an isolated incident.

White remains in custody at the Morgan County Jail.
