UIS student from Jacksonville honored for work in model government

A Jacksonville native wins an award for participation in an Illinois government simulation.

The annual Model Illinois Government simulation at the Illinois State Capitol in Springfield was held this weekend. Thomas Clatterbuck, a student at the University of Illinois Springfield, won an individual award Outstanding First Year Delegate in the Senate.

Clatterbuck and three other UIS students also received an award for Outstanding Large Delegation.

Clatterbuck was elected Senate Assistant Minority Leader.
