US Central District Court of IL Shuts Down In-Person Gatherings

In an order issued by the U.S. District Court for the Central Illinois District tonight, the court has shut down all in-person gatherings including in-person jury trials and public gatherings, which include naturalization ceremonies.

Chief U.S. District Court Judge Sara Darrow writes that the order will run until January 25th, 2021, effecting the federal courthouses in Peoria, Springfield and Urbana.
