An open house is being held today in Concord to showcase the newly renovated Winkelman Hog Farm.
Co-owner Dale Winkelman says construction at 1382 Good Pasture took around four months and the finished product looks “really good.”
Wilkelman says visitors are welcome to tour the facility from 4:30-8 p.m.
“Well they are going to see the new technology and electronics. All the fans, curtain operators and the things that keep track of temperatures and water usage. It is all pretty interesting,” notes Winkelman.
Winkelman says portions of the facility can be controlled digitally through smart phones. Around 2,500 hogs will be moved to the farm in the near future.
The ribbon cutting starts at 5 p.m.
