Farmers in the fields this month are being offered a chance to eat on the run by the local FFA chapters.

Jacksonville High School FFA advisor Mark Dyer says the meals for the fields will be held later this month at Jacksonville High School.

Dyer says he and Jacksonville Middle School FFA advisor Megan Hadden says the meals will include grilled chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a roll for $12.

He says it’s a fundraiser for the FFA alumni, who help out FFA members by buying jackets and fund trips to national conventions.

Dyer says tickets must be purchased before April 15th.

Those who buy tickets can wheel through the west side of Jacksonville High School at the shop drive from 4 to 6 PM April 22nd to pick up their dinners.

He says tickets can be bought at the Spradlin Auction Center, Cass Morgan Farm Bureau and Heartland Bank.

Dyer says FFA members and alumni are also selling the tickets.
