Routt’s new basketball coach is familiar to the area.
Josh Krumwiede has been hired to replace Will Whalen at head boys’ basketball coach. Whalen retired after last season.
Krumwiede moves over from South County, where he was head boys’ basketball coach for the past two seasons, compiling a 39 and 26 record, including 20 wins last year.
Prior to South County, Krumwiede had coached at Athens for three years.
It has not been announced if Krumwiede will be taking on any other duties at Routt.
