A Greene County woman was killed in a two vehicle accident in Springfield this afternoon at South 7th and East Laurel Drive.
Sangamon County coroner Jim Allmon says the 69-year-old woman from Roodhouse was pronounced dead at HSHS St John’s about 2:45 in the emergency room shortly after she arrived.
The identity is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.
An autopsy is planned for Friday.
No other details about the accident have been released. The accident is being investigated by Allmon’s office and Springfield police.
