The 2026 Sangamon County Fair is preparing for another year of agriculture, family fun and entertainment as they anticipate thousands of visitors to the fairgrounds this year.
The fair kicks off Wednesday and runs through Sunday with the Miss Sangamon County Fair Queen Pageant slated for opening night at 7pm. The Grandstand entertainment will provide fair goers with a variety of events with Full Throttle Monster Trucks Thursday night at 7, Scotty McCreery and Josh Turner will perform Friday night at 7pm, the Sangamon County Fair rodeo will take place Saturday night at 7pm, and the fair ends with the demolition derby Sunday at 5pm. Grandstand events require tickets in addition to general fair gate admission.
Agriculture remains at the heart of the Sangamon County Fair as the livestock show will showcase the hard work and dedication of local youth and agricultural exhibitors. These competitions highlight the next generation of agricultural leaders while providing educational opportunities for visitors.
