A local man with a lengthy history of break ins in Jacksonville is headed to prison.
30-year-old Miles Pelewski, listed as homeless, was sentenced to 9 years in the department of corrections by Judge Chris Reif.
Court records actually indicate he received three different sentences…two 8 year terms and one 9 year term. But the sentences will be served concurrently.
Pelewski pleaded guilty to multiple felony counts of burglary.
The break-ins started in January with Trinity Episcopal Church, and in March at Faith Lutheran Church.
That was followed by burglaries downtown…at Peachy Nest, Charlie’s Ice Cream Shop, the Soap Company, Professional Estate Buyers in April. He was also accused of hitting Hamilton’s at least three times in April and early May, and a house on South Clay at the end of March.
