A White Hall man has been sentenced to prison on drug charges.
Judge Zachary Schmidt sentenced 67-year-old Clarence Smith to four years in prison last Friday after he admitted to possession of a controlled substance. The case was heard in Greene County court.
The charge is a class 4 felony.
The substance had fentanyl in it where he was arrested in June of last year.
Judge Schmidt also recommended Smith seek substance abuse treatment in prison.
Greene county state’s attorney Craig Grummel thanked the White Hall police department for its investigation into the case.
