Morgan County deputies have made three arrests in connection with a break in reported the first weekend at an area grain elevator.
Lieutenant Adam Potter says the three suspects are 42-year-old Ashton Haley of the 500 block of West Walnut, 37-year-old Greg Colwell of the 900 block of North Main, and 44-year-old Anstin Elliott, who is listed as homeless.
All three face charges of burglary related to a break in at Orleans Elevator in rural Alexander on old route 36.
Potter says two utility tractors were taken in the break in. a Kubota and a John Deere. He says the suspects broke into a shed at the elevator, and took the tractors. At least one of the two, the John Deere has been recovered but was heavily damaged.
Crimestoppers made the incident its crime of the week last weekend. The break in occurred sometime in the overnight hours of July 5th after 5 PM.
Colwell also faces a traffic count, and a charge of hiding someone in the vehicle. That someone, Haley, was also arrested for theft over $500, meth possession and criminal damage to property.
All three are awaiting a court appearance later this month.
