A Macoupin County man has admitted in Macoupin County court to possession of child sexual abuse material.
The plea came from 29-year-old Jacob Monty of Virden, who admitted today in court to two class 2 counts of possession child sexual abuse material involving a victim under 13.
The case was prosecuted with the help of Illinois attorney general Kwame Raoul’s office.
The case dates back to an investigation in December of last year when Virden police officers searched Monty’s home, and found evidence of the material.
Monty is set to be sentenced September 28th.
