Cass County sheriff’s deputies have arrested an Arenzville man in an animal cruelty investigation.
38-year-old Adam Kaffenberger was arrested for aggravated animal cruelty yesterday.
The sheriff’s office was contacted six days ago regarding a report of a man possibly hurting an animal.
An investigation began. Following interviews, deputies got a search warrant for 213 East Frederick
Street in Arenzville. State police were called in to process the alleged crime scene.
Sheriff Devron Ohr says the incident involved a dog.
Kaffenberger is being held at the Schuyler County Jail awaiting a detention hearing.
