Pike County deputies say an autistic teen who walked away from his home in Griggsville was found unharmed last night.
Authorities say the 17-year-old was reported missing from his home in Griggsville on South Stanford about 5:45 yesterday morning.
Greenwood says the teen was found unharmed inside a vacant home nearby about 9:15 last night. He says the juvenile was thirsty and was taken to Illini Community Hospital for evaluation.
Pike County sheriff David Greenwood says authorities used the K-9 unit, Griggsville fire, North Pike fire and rescue, Life Flight, Adams County emergency services, Pike County EMS and other agencies to search the area.
