Local Snow Emergencies

The Village of South Jacksonville has issued a snow emergency starting Saturday, January 4th at 6PM and running through Monday, January 6th at 6PM. All emergency snow routes will be activated. All vehicles parked in the street along these routes must be removed from the street immediately. Affected roads are: East and West Greenwood, East Vandalia, South Diamond, Lincoln Avenue, and Hardin Avenue.

The City of Jacksonville has issued a snow emergency effective from 10PM Saturday, January 4th to 10PM Monday, January 6th. This declaration is made to facilitate safe and efficient snow removal operations across the city. Parking on snow emergency routes is strictly prohibited. Due to the projected inclement weather forecast for the upcoming days, the City of Winchester is mandating that no street parking take place on all roads within the city limits from 8:00 pm on Saturday January 4th until further notice.

The City of Springfield has issued a snow emergency beginning at 11PM Saturday, January 4th and concluding at 11:00 p.m., Monday, January 6th. This declaration is in response to anticipated snowfall exceeding 6 inches. Residents must remove all parked vehicles from marked snow emergency routes by 11:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4th. Due to the projected inclement weather forecast for the upcoming days, the City of Auburn is mandating that no street parking take place on all roads within the city limits from 12:00pm on Saturday, January 4, until 3:00pm on Tuesday, January 7. This mandate will be revisited if the projected snowfall is not as severe, or if the time frame needs to be extended to accommodate more accumulation.

Due to the projected weather conditions this weekend the City of Beardstown is asking that you limit street parking as much as possible from midnight Saturday, January 4th to Monday, January 6th at noon. Snow emergency routes will be in effect and parking around the city square is prohibited.

The City of Pittsfield has initiated snow routes starting at midnight Saturday, January 4th. The snow routes encompass the downtown square and a 1 block radius on each side of the square. No parking is allowed on the street in these areas when snow accumulations reach 3 inches or above.
