A visit to a local cemetery is being offered to area residents tomorrow evening to put names with Jacksonville’s Underground Railroad history.
Chad Boelke will lead the tour at 6 tomorrow night at Diamond Grove Cemetery.
Tori Ohl of the Jacksonville Area Museum says this is being done in conjunction with the museum display, Journey to Freedom:Illinois Underground Railroad.
Ohl says this tour will provide a connection.
Ohl says the underground railroad display at the museum will be here in Jacksonville only until the end of this month.
