Grandadam Get 8 years for Drugs

A local man with a history of violent crimes is headed to prison.

48-year-old David Grandadam of the 500 block of South Church was sentenced yesterday in Morgan County court to 8 years in prison for possession of fentanyl.

The charges came as a result of his arrest in the 500 block of East Morton on May 24th of last year. Police stopped his vehicle for speeding, and the police dog found a black bag in a fuse compartment in the engine area.

Police later found the the drug in the bag was over 50 grams of fentanyl.

Grandadam had previous convictions of aggravated battery, and resisting police.

He was also fined $500.
