The Illinois College nursing program has received a 10 year accreditation from a national program.
The accreditation comes from the commission on collegiate nursing education, or CCNE.
The CCNE reviewed IC’s nursing program, which was started on the hilltop campus in 2018.
It expanded to a full clinical program in 2020.
Nursing majors at IC use virtual reality clinical training that helps students develop clinical judgment, technical skills and confidence before entering patient care settings.
