The Jacksonville Kiwanis BBQ Braggin’ Rights will be held this weekend at the Morgan County fairgrounds.
The annual event is one of the top fundraisers for the club. All the proceeds go to Kiwanis charities with children in mind.
One of the chairpersons for the event, Krystal Bradley says the cooking is done Friday night into Saturday morning. She says the public is welcome to come at 12 noon.
It is $10 at the gate, and people can take the tour. Bradley asks people to vote for their favorites.
Bradley says there will be no bags of meat sold this year for carryout. People can taste the barbque meat during the event on the grounds.
