The first installment of the Morgan County property tax bills are due early next week.
The due date is Monday.
Morgan County treasurer Crystal Myers says the Morgan County Courthouse will be closed this Friday, a federal holiday, Juneteenth.
Myers says people can pay on line, but there are fees involved. The online address is morganil.devnetwedge.com.
There is a drop off box on the north side of the courthouse, and people can pay at most banks, but not US Bank.
Myers says if a person mails a payment close to the due date, such as now, she recommends taking the payment into the post office to have it postmarked. All payments received with a postmark after the due date will be consider late. The post office is also closed Friday, as are most banks.
The second installment is due in September.
