A public hearing on the proposed ordinance to spend money this next fiscal year will be held by the South Jacksonville village board tonight.
The hearing starts at 6:45. The appropriation ordinance is for the fiscal year that began May 1st and ends April 30th.
The regular board meeting follows at village hall.
Trustees will vote on the budget and appropriations ordinance, be asked to approve prevailing wage rates, and OK a tourism grant for $75-hundred for the Rotary Club Oktoberfest.
Mayor Dick Samples will announce a position open on the board, as Christina Butler has submitted her resignation.
And, the board will talk about plans to meet again August 20th.
