State police believe they have the man who was making wild rides from Beardstown to Springfield on a motorcycle.
State police have announced they have arrested 30-year-old Austin Huddleston of Springfield. The preliminary charges are aggravated fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, and speeding 35 miles an hour over the speed limit.
Troopers had asked for the public’s help in late May in identifying the driver of the Kawasaki motorcycle involved in multiple reckless driving incidents in Springfield, Sangamon County and on route 125 between Beardstown and Springfield.
Police say tips from the public led to Huddleston’s arrest July 4th.
Huddleston is being held on four counts of aggravated fleeing, two counts of reckless driving, and two counts of speeding.
