The World War Two Salute the Troops events starts at 12 noon today at the Morgan County Fair.

Fairgoers will have a chance to see the machinery up close and personal this afternoon. The show is at 8 tonight.

Tyler Aring is a local veteran who is coordinating the event. He says this is the last chance in the foreseeable future for the public to see the equipment.

Aring says they will see new equipment today.

He says Rabbi Rob has promised new equipment, and fairgoers will get a chance to walk around and touch the machinery starting at 12 noon.

Aring says the fair is offering VIP treatment for those wanting more than a close up view.

He says $50 will get you a ride on one of the vehicles today.

Aring says the Gibson Girls from Jerseyville will perform patriotic music leading up to the show tonight.
